Pigs!

well. it is that time of year again. pigs. my oldest daughter has decided to raise a couple of show pigs for 4h this year. you buy em. you feed em. you sell em. last but not least, you kill and eat what you don't sell. sounds like a grim life for the pig, however, the bacon is the best.

we got them a few days ago and they are so cute. we have to scoop pig doo every few days and make sure they have plenty to drink and eat. they eat just about everything.

they are not very big yet but alana has already named them. cotton candy is a light pink colored pig and cookies and cream is a black pig with a white stripe.

her first pig meeting, where they get all the formalities out of the way is soon so we will see how that goes. she will miss her softball game that night but you can't do everything. i think it will be about quality of your pigs. what you feed them, how to care for them in the way of medicine, etc. i think she also has another one shortly after that about measuring her pigs skills, which at this point is none, but then again it is only her first year.
