play ball!

jonna had a softball game tonight. it wasn't the first but i thought i'd give her a place in the blog with more to come. this is the first time i have seen one of my daughters as the catcher. she did a great job of stopping the ball and not letting that frisky thing go by.

she did not do well batting (struck out twice) even though it was coach pitch. however, i think our coach was a little far from the plate at this particular stage.


one thing i did notice is that they switch up positions each time they are in the outfield. i kind of like that because it gives the kids a chance to try all the positions and find their groove.


here she is playing second base. its a tough thing to learn where the play is for this age. i think with plenty of training and coaching, she will be a great player.
